I’m Jihae (pronounced “G-hey”), a women’s RTW designer based in New York. For the past 13 years, I’ve been creating collections that feel elevated, wearable, and quietly expressive.

My work often begins with what catches my eye — the streets of New York, an off-beat detail, travel textures, a passing color, a runway reference, a magazine tear, or a vintage piece discovered by chance. From there, I move into research, silhouette exploration, and fabric development — shaping color stories that feel fresh yet grounded, drape that moves with intention, and proportions that flatter without trying too hard. The goal is always the same: beauty that feels natural on the woman wearing it.

Collaboration is central to my process. I work closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Technical Design, and Sourcing to translate inspiration into cohesive seasonal assortments—balancing creative direction with fit, margin, and calendar realities. When it aligns, the result is polished but effortless, expressive but gentle.
